I come from Software Programming background dealing with C#.NET, ASP.NET MVC, WPF, Database (Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server), Structured Query Language (SQL), Language-Integrated Query (LINQ), Java, Linux, etc. using tools like LINQPad and Visual Studio.
Recently, or not so recent, as Data Science is gaining its importance, I have started to look into the Statistical software R. Initially, it looks like a foreign language with weird syntax. But once I get the hang of it, I simply love using R more and more. Do visit the next few tabs on SimplyLoveR and Software Development for some of my humble work.
With its countless packages, R could be used for quick prototype general programming for almost EVERYTHING. Yes, I say EVERYTHING. Even integration with hardware like Arduino is possible. It could also be used for specific Statistical Analysis and Big Data applications.
One of the best books which I would recommend to Advanced R users is: R High Performance Programming: Overcome performance difficulties in R with a range of exciting techniques and solutions, by Lim A., Tjhi W. — Packt Publishing, 2015.
Another area of my interest is using heuristic optimization like Genetic Algorithm (GA) to solve real-world practical problems and applications.
You are welcome to contact me to discuss any topics listed on my pages here. I should first say I am not an expert in all those areas, but we could simply have some meaningful discussions based on some common interests.
